Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC without more than normal supervision. You have the ability in providing expertise on industrial electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum systems, components, and programmable logic controllers (PLC); reviewing performance on awarded contracts; maintaining computer software systems (such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)) and network technologies; and calibrating industrial electronic control systems. – Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen-out Element)Ability To Use Hand and Power Tools – ElectronicsIngenuity (Ability To Suggest and Apply New Methods)Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.Theory of ElectronicsTrouble shooting (Electronic Equipment)Use of Test Equipment: Electronics Physical Effort: Work assignments require light-to-moderate physical effort. There is frequent lifting, carrying, and handling of items weighing 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally over 40 pounds. Work is performed in a sitting position for extended periods; frequent standing, walking, bending and reaching is required. Working Conditions: Work is usually done inside in well-lighted, heated, and ventilated areas. Sometimes works outside, and may be required to work in adverse conditions in emergency situations. Incumbent is exposed to burns, electrical shock, and the possibility of cuts, bruises, and burns.
