Military Grades: E1 – E9; WO1 – CW2 Your resume MUST contain a DETAILED description (how, when , where, and at what level) in your own words (not copied) of civilian and/or military training/experience/education as it relates to the general and specialized experience, KSA/Competencies, and any other requirements (certifications, education, selective placement factors) that are in announcement and/or questionnaire. NOTE: You may add a supplement page (as above; it must address how, when, where and at what level) to your resume to address requirements separately. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates a working knowledge to read and interpret instructions, repair manual, specifications and drawings; must have a knowledge of shop mathematics sufficient to use testing devices and measuring instruments; and be proficient in the use and maintenance of hand tools and equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 18 months of experience or training with substantial mechanical skill is required to effectively and efficiently repair, overhaul, and rebuild small arms for both conventional uses and for weapons involving accurization. Experience to inspect, diagnose malfunctioning, wear and/or damage is required. The ability to perform accurization procedures on weapons to improve their performance is required. Basic knowledge of other trades in order to modify and/or manufacture weapons parts for accurization is required. Experience to apply technical manuals, regulations, specifications and drawings to determine operation, assembly and tolerances of the variety of weapons worked on is required for successful performance. Experience using and maintaining a variety of hand and power tools and gages is required. Tools include drills, files, precision gages and measuring instruments, magnafluxing equipment and/or borescopes to determine when parts are worn or damaged beyond acceptable tolerances. PLACEMENT STATUS/TENURE OF SELECTEE: TEMPORARY PROMOTION/REASSIGNMENT/CHANGE TO LOWER GRADE – For Title 32 permanent selectees only: This is an obligated position. If a permanent employee in the Title 32 Excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will retain their permanent status AND have rights to return to their previous Title 32 position. TEMPORARY PROMOTION/REASSIGNMENT/CHANGE TO LOWER GRADE – For Title 32 Indefinite selectees only: This is an obligated position. If an indefinite employee (tenure 3) in the Title 32 Excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will retain their indefinite status AND may return to their previous Title 32 indefinite position if it is still available. INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT – For Current Title 5 selectees only: This is an obligated position. If an on-board employee in the Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will convert to a T32 indefinite appointment (tenure 3). This employee will have no reemployment rights to their previous T5 position. INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT – State National Guard Members (includes T32 NTE employees and MTNG members not currently a federal employee): This is an obligated position. Selectee will be appointed as an indefinite employee (tenure 3).
