This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to do the job of a Industrial Equipment Mechanic WG-5352-10 without more than normal supervision as demonstrated by performing the following: 1) Troubleshoot industrial plant machinery to determine the nature and extent of repairs necessary; 2) Make needed repairs by replacing, reworking or refinishing worn or damage parts and components; disassemble and repair general industrial plant machinery, equipment and systems such as cranes, air compressors, overhead door systems, pneumatic tube systems, pumps, and sliding wall systems; and 3). Interpret and apply technical manuals, shop directives, multi-view blueprints, and other documents. Applicants must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations (X-118C).
