Qualification Summary
For outside applicants claiming VEOA, E.O. 13473 (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Evaluating the adequacy of facilities; 2) Using cost effective management pertaining to renovations and repair projects of housing operations; 3) Using engineering methods and techniques to properly plan for housing construction projects involving renovations, maintenance and repair; 4) Using safety, environmental and fire prevention practices. (NOTE: Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.) For Applicants who are current or prior Federal competitive service employees: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Occasional exposure to dusty or dirty conditions exists when visiting barrack rooms or facilities undergoing repair, change of occupancy, maintenance, or renovation. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
