Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates knowledge of transportation regulations, methods, and practices to provide entitlement counseling to customers related to household goods and personal property. I also have experience utilizing automated transportation databases to calculate shipment and excess costs related to household goods and personal property. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Communicate with customers to elicit their personal property shipping needs and services desired and providing assistance such as: answering questions, providing claims information, initiating shipment change requests, etc. 2) Provide proper handling of a shipment and resolving any problems or deviations on a daily basis for any unexpected problems in transit; and 3) Utilize automated transportation information systems to explain shipment and storage options and special procedures.
