GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to distinguish between closely related or similar items, ability to follow procedures, ability to sort materials by type, and skill in the use of hand tools. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 12 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience or training identifying and sorting a variety of complex materials and equipment. Experience receiving materials and equipment, recording, and placing items in proper storage areas. Experience preparing all items for shipment using appropriate agency instructions. Experience in mathematical equations. Experience interpreting and using Federal Supply Catalogs, military and manufacturing catalogs, and technical and agency manuals. Experience using and operating forklifts and motor vehicles. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of specialized handling, storing, disposal, and safety procedures related to hazardous materials that can only be gained through formal course study and on-the-job training to ensure adherence to governing regulatory guidance, policies and procedures. Knowledge of Federal, State, DoD, OSHA and EPA rules/regulations sufficient to control, oversee, coordinate and implement the facility Hazardous Materials Management Program. Knowledge of warehouse activities to include receiving, inspecting for defects, storing, selecting and shipping general or specialized equipment and supplies. Knowledge of the overall facility supply, storage, distribution and inventory plan, including supply documentation requirements. Knowledge of inventory and production reports to screen and identify shipping and receiving documents for discrepancies, and direct shipments to shipping or storage areas. Knowledge of computer commands and controls to make data entries, update data and retrieve reports. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: For an indefinite appointment which is to backfill a deployed technician, MOS and unit of assignment are waived for 18 months following assignment. However, rank requirement must be met to avoid grade inversion. For temporary promotions, the MOS and unit remains with the permanent position from which temporarily promoted. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: ECMF: 15, 91, 92, 88
UNIT OF ASSIGNMENT: Any aviation unit within state SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position is covered by the medical monitoring program. Individual selected must undergo a preemployment physical examination prior to appointment.
