The GS-11 salary range starts at $68,309 per year.
The GS-12 salary range starts at $81,875 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify for the GS-11:
Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;or3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;orLL.M., if related
AND/OR
You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level.Specialized experience is technical, hands-on experience in the application and use of Building Automation Systems (BAS) to control HVAC. Applicants must also have BAS programming experience in diagnosing and identifying building control system needs/deficiencies, and must be skilled in translating these needs/deficiencies into project strategies including project definition, project cost estimates, system installation and post-installation commissioning plan development and execution.
To qualify for the GS-12:
You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level.Specialized experience is technical, hands-on experience in the application and use of Building Automation Systems (BAS) to control HVAC. Applicant must also have advanced BAS programming experience in diagnosing and identifying building control system needs/deficiencies, and must be proficient in translating these needs/deficiencies into project strategies including project definition, project cost estimates, system installation and post-installation commissioning plan development and execution.
