Qualification Summary
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSGS-9 LEVEL: To be minimally qualified for the GS-9, you must meet the basic requirements below. A master’s or equivalent graduate degree in a field of study such as: business administration, public administration, or general management. OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a graduate degree in a field of study such as: business administration, public administration, or general management. One year of graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended. OR
You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Demonstrated knowledge of administrative support services and operations in carrying out project assignments. Examples of Specialized Experience include:• Identifying and analyzing building/geographic area-wide or multi-functional problems or issues. • Providing or obtaining a variety of management services essential to the operation of an organization.• Coordinating services between customers and providers in ensuring support activities are carried out.• Conducting analytical studies of processes, operations, and/or management services.• Time management program requirements. OR
At least 1 year of combined graduate education and experience as defined in paragraphs above. When combining education and experience use the following formula to calculate the total amount. Part time work experience should be prorated. Formula using Semester hours: # Sem Hrs completed divided by # of semester hours in a 2 year course of study as defined by your school + # of month’s experience divided by 12 months. Example: 15 Semester hours of college (15/30- number of semester hours in a 2 year course of study) and 6 months experience (6/12) .50+.50 =1.00. If your answer is one or more, you have the required combination.For Grades 5 through 11: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.
– The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis.- To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following, if applicable: You must have been at the GS-07 level for 52 weeks (time-in-grade requirement).
