Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting fire safety training to groups; 2) Eliminating or reducing hazards where the expectancy and potential for severity is high; 3) Inspecting buildings for potential fire hazards (e.g., obstructed exits, presence of combustible material, etc.); 4) Adapting fire protection/prevention techniques to correct conditions or hazardous situations; and 5) Completing fire investigations for point of origin and cause. NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position. This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications for the GS-7: Fire Inspector I, Fire Inspector II, HAZMAT Awareness, and Fire Instructor I. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications and you have not attached copies of your certifications, you will be rated ineligible.
