Qualification Summary
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:GS-05 LEVEL: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Perform mail duties such as receiving and sending mail for others; Use internet to obtain information (e.g. navigate through websites, perform searches looking for specific information) for basic research; Input and updates information into computer systems/databases to maintain records; Use computer programs/software applications to perform daily work [e.g., Excel, Word, Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing (e-QIP)]; and Communicate verbally and/or in writing with a diverse group of internal and external customers using proper format, grammar, and spelling. ORYou may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: A Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years of education above high school in any field of study from an accredited college or university. OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.GS-06 LEVEL: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Perform mail duties such as receiving and sending mail for others; Maintain electronic mailboxes to provide guidance and response to questions. Use internet to obtain background information (e.g. navigate through websites, perform searches looking for specific information) for performing basic investigative matters; Input investigative data and update that information into computer systems/databases to maintain records; Use computer programs/software applications to perform daily work [e.g., Excel, Word, Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing (e-QIP)]; and Communicate verbally by meeting and dealing with a diverse workgroup and in writing to customers (e.g., letters, memos, emails) by proofreading to ensure proper format, grammar, and spelling.GS-07 LEVEL: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Perform mail duties such as receiving and sending mail for others; Maintain electronic mailboxes to provide guidance and response to questions. Use internet to obtain background information (e.g. navigate through websites, performs searches looking for specific information) for gathering investigative information and identifying problems from collected data; Input investigative data and update that information into computer systems/databases to maintain records; Ensure applications for background investigations are completed and are appropriate for the level of sensitivity required for the position; Use computer programs/software applications to perform daily work [e.g., Excel, Word, Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing (e-QIP)]; and Communicate verbally by meeting and dealing with a diverse workgroup and in writing to customers (e.g., letters, memos, emails) by proofreading to ensure proper format, grammar, and spelling.- The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis.- To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.You must have been at the next lower grade level of the grade you are applying to for 52 weeks (time-in-grade requirement).
