In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Utilize knowledge of the theories, concepts, principles, and practices of meteorology, oceanography and/or hydrography to provide administrative and technical guidance for maritime surveillance systems (MSS) and operations;
2) Coordinate and manage Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) operations, exercises and global force management;
3) Plan, execute, and evaluate MSS projects to facilitate the development of requirements for Naval Oceanography (NO) products and services; and
4) Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to express complex technical concepts and advice understandably to personnel with a wide range of backgrounds including foreign/host governments.
