Qualification Summary
Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the GS-12 AND must be bilingual in both Mandarin and English languages with the ability to report, write, research, and accurately translate in both languages. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized Experience includes: knowledge and experience implementing the principles and practices of journalistic news gathering, ethics, reporting, writing and voicing by demonstration of the following: Conceiving complex, unique and engaging stories that are of value to global audiences; Filing timely, accurate, comprehensive, unique and unbiased reports that meet the highest journalistic standards in a multi-platform environment: digital, social media, TV and radio; Developing and managing a budget, personnel, and resource control; Reporting and broadcasting LIVE for a GLOBAL audience
