APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED
This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
Bargaining Position
AOC 1: NG Employees working at the location specified
AOC 2: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard
AOC 3: All Service Members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (to include Temporary Technicians)
AOC 4: Service Members currently serving in another branch and are willing to become members of the Pennsylvania National Guard
AOC 5: All others willing to become members of the Pennsylvania National Guard Military Grades:
ENLISTED E1-E9 Supervisor for this position is SGM Ramos GENERAL EXPERIENCE: : Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: : Application must indicate at least 12 months of experience, education or training working with people from various levels and backgrounds. Experience with a general knowledge of the functions and procedures of production control, records, references, and techniques for developing production control data. Experience assisting or maintaining workflow. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES: Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be further evaluated by the nominating supervisor based on the following competencies considered essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. -Knowledge of production control procedures and operations sufficient to collect, compile, correlate, and maintain production data. -Knowledge of policies, regulations, and processes governing production control operations to carry out established production assignments. -Knowledge of equipment, such as, combat vehicles, armored personnel carriers, towed and self- propelled artillery, engineer and power generating equipment, tactical vehicles, etc., to correct and analyze a variety of routine production data and processes, prepare production schedules, prepare reporting data, etc. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates’ experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant’s record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled. SPECIAL NOTE: Per the Labor Relations Management Agreement if there are more than 15 qualified applicants for each position, by category, a KSA board will be convened in accordance with Section 17.8 of the LMRA.
