Qualification Summary
This is a time limited position and may be extended up to 6 years. Current DA employee’s selected for temporary promotion or reassignment may be made permanent without further competition. Other selectees may be eligible for noncompetitive conversion to a Career-Conditional Appointment or Career Appointment under Merit Promotion procedures and in accordance with Section 9902 (b(2) of title 5 USC. To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent; Or any other non-competitive appointment eligibility. Current Department of Army Civilian Employees In order to qualify, you must meet the Specialized Experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Ensuring that Letters of Request (LORs), Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) are processed/completed within the constraints and guidelines established in the Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM); providing technical advice and assistance, and serve as technical authority for total package fielding of equipment, training, and other services related to the foreign military sales program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
