Qualification Summary
Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade levelin the normal career progression of the position being filled. This experience may have been gained either in the Federal or Private sectors, demonstrating knowledge of organizational regulations, policies, and procedures to supply management support and advice to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of district management responsibilities.
To qualify at the GS-07: Applicants must have at least 52 weeks specialized experience equivalent toat leastthe next lower grade level, GS-05, in theFederal Service, or 1 full year of graduate level education, or superior academic achievement.
Examples of specialized experience include: Researching rules and regulations.
Performing a variety of administrative functions relating to processing staffing processing/ staffing/ recruitment/ personnel, performance management, and other duties that are primarily related to human resources management.
Assisting managers and other staff with a variety of duties and functions of Worker’s Compensation programs.
Dealing with confidential situations and information.
Preparing reports and maintaining records. To qualify at the GS-09: Applicants must have at least 52 weeks specialized experience equivalent toat leastthe next lower grade level, GS-07, in theFederal Service, or master’s or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
Examples of specialized experience include: Independently analyzing problems to identify factors, gathering and presenting data for program or staff officials.
Researching rules and regulations.
Performing a variety of administrative functions relating to processing staffing processing/ staffing/ recruitment/ personnel, performance management, labor relations, and other duties that are primarily related to human resources management.
Performing a variety of duties and functions of Worker’s Compensation programs.
Dealing with confidential situations and information, including high level management information and labor-management relations.
Preparing reports and maintaining records.
