This is a Career-Seasonal position and subject to release and recall procedures. Selectee will be in a pay status and can expect to work a minimum of 13 pay periods not to exceed a maximum of 25 pay periods. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. If qualifying based on education, a copy of your unofficial transcripts must be provided with your application. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying: GS-04:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-4 level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following: (1) providing information or assistance to the public in a business or recreation setting; (2) instructing groups of people or individuals; (3) handling, tracking, or depositing monies; (4) using software programs to maintain fee and stock data; and (5) using tools or equipment (e.g., cash registers, calculators, etc.) to make sales transactions.

B. Education: Have completed a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited institution.

C. Combination of Education and Experience: Possess a combination of specialized experience, as described in A and post-high school education as described in B that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement. (Please note: Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours may be used in this calculation.) Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as “varies”.
