Today’s second post is Hemlata sings for Ravindra Jain. Ravindra Jain came to Mumbai to try his luck in Bollywood in the early 1970s. Hemlata had already sung around 100 to 150 songs, by then. Ravindra Jain used her vocals for his movies from the beginning. The movies were Kanch Aur Heera (1972) – his debut, Rakh Aur Chingari (1974), Geet Gata Chal (1975), Salaakhen (1975) and Tapasya (1975). But, Hemlata got recognition after singing for him in the movie Fakira (1976). His Chitchor (1976) helped her establish herself as a regular singer for Rajshri Productions between the 1980s and 1990s. Then, there was no looking back for both.
