Qualification Summary
Masters of Business Administration in Financial Management and/or CPA certificate is highly preferred. Bachelor's Degree in a related financial field appropriate to the work of the position AND ten years of executive financial experience OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Knowledge of finance and accounting standards and theories, principles and practices in order to complete difficult assignments relative to planning, developing and implementing strategies throughout MCCS. Demonstrated ability to interpret finance and accounting management regulations, statutory requirements and other governing guidance. Ability to serve as a consultant to management officials regarding the management and oversight of innovative accounting and finance initiatives. Knowledgeable of Project Management principles, techniques, and tools for managing large scale multifaceted projects. Techniques and tools include MS Project or other similar software for establishing timelines, major events, and interdependencies. Exhibits knowledge of the MCCS mission, functions, and programs to provide expert advice and guidance on finance and accounting strategies and the impact to initiatives of legislation, policies, regulations, procedures, processes, systems and business partners have on the implementation and relationship to Marine Corps, DoD activities and private industry. Knowledge of concepts, principles and techniques of disciplines such as economics, statistics, data processing and information technology to the analysis of customer requirements and development implementation of strategies.
