Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience can be defined as: One year equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service providing technical assistance and instruction on movement control and customs clearance in the overall coordination and execution of deployment and redeployment plans, including: (1) development and maintenance of accurate Automated Unit Equipment Lists (AUELs); (2) development of the Deployable Equipment List (DEL) required to support the deployment and the Commander’s intent; (3) development of air load plans and stow plans; (4) development of hazardous material documentation, Transportation Control Numbers (TCNs), and (5) requirements for movement of personnel and equipment via all transportation modes. This is the definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
