Specialized Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 in the Federal service.
For this position, specialized experience includes the following: Experience representing an organization as a technical expert on telecommunications including radiocommunication issues, in meetings outside of the organization. Experience performing complex engineering studies to resolve technical issues of a radiocommunication nature Experience interpreting and applying accepted engineering practice and regulations to solve complex technical problems and policy issues Experience communicating with individuals with diverse viewpoints to efficiently resolve technical and/or policy issues For GS-15:
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 in the Federal service. For this position, specialized experience includes the following: Experience serving as an expert advisor to managers and external officials to make recommendations and/or decisions on radiocommunication issues Experience performing complex engineering studies to resolve technical issues of a radiocommunication nature Experience serving in a leadership role to conduct negotiations with high level officials to reach a consensus on complex technical or policy telecommunications issues Experience interpreting and applying accepted engineering practices and regulations to solve complex technical problems and policy issues PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
