Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Basic Requirements:
Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education comparable to a 4 year degree. In addition to meeting the Basic Requirements listed above, applicants must meet the following Minimum Qualifications Requirement to be considered: Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Examples of specialized experience for this position includes: Reviews Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and other Farm Bill programs applications to determine compliance under these programs. Provides direct planning assistance to partners, field offices, and landowners in pasture and forestland soil heath data collection. Assists in developing technical standards and specifications for Grassland and Agroforestry management practices standards revisions, aids, job sheets, and similar guides for use in the area of assignments. Note: There is no education substitution for the GS-12 level.
