AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Exceptive Service “under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)” and is open to on board (Tenure 1, 2 and 3) federal employees/technicians (T32 and T5) within the agency. Tenure can be located in block 24 on your latest SF 50. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. TEMPORARY PROMOTION- For Title 5 selectees only: This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If a permanent employee in the Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will retain their permanent status AND return to their previous Title 5 position once incumbent returns from military duty. If the military tour member, who has reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her reemployment rights within 5 years, the selected individual may remain in this position without further competition. INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT-For Current Title 32 selectees only: This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If an on-board individual employed in the Title 32 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3). If a Reduction-In-Force occurs and/or the military tour member exercises reemployment rights to this position, the indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separated. INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT-All others (Not Current T5 or T32 Onboard) This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour), selectee will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3). If a Reduction-In-Force occurs and/or the military tour member exercises reemployment right to this position, the indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separated. If the military tour member, having reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her rights within 5 years, this position may be converted to a permanent status without further competition. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 must at least one year experience at the GS-07 level, in the normal line of progression through federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that provided you with a working knowledge on the organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. as well as experience analyzing, interpreting and developing policies and procedures of local logistical program management. master’s or equivalent graduate degree or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to the required experience.
