Qualification Summary
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.To qualify, no specific length of experience or training is required, however you must be able to demonstrate through information provided in your resume that you possess sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position without more than normal supervision. Demonstrated work experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management’s basic qualification requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement. Ability to do the work of the position under normal supervision. Must be able to stand for long periods of time; or recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching and reaching. Work requires standing, stooping, bending, climbing, crawling, and kneeling for extended periods in uncomfortable positions. Worker may lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and, occasionally heavier items with assistance. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Assignments require interest, motivation, and readiness to complete simple tasks.WG-02 LEVEL:To qualify for the Wage Grade 02 level, a specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. To be qualifying your experience should demonstrate the following: stock movement methods and loading and unloading methods to move materials safely and prevent damage during transport. The set up and operation of equipment operated including procedures for routine adjustments, minor repairs, and cleaning of equipment operated. Operation and routine maintenance of radio frequency devices, bar code readers, scanners, and other equipment to pick, track and close out orders. Knowledge of simple arithmetic and counting to select accurate order quantities and basic English to read orders and write labels. Able to stand for prolonged periods of time and able to bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 pounds. Lifting often may be from floor level to eye level.
– The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service.
