To qualify for GS-13 candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. To qualify for the GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-12 Federal grade level. This experience must include experience with collecting and analyzing performance data and metrics; experience developing and implementing performance management systems and programs; and experience providing technical advice, policy development and interpretation to senior level management on performance management cycle and award programs.
