To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Time-in-grade:
Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Specialized Experience GS-7: Applicants must have One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-06) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Reviews, analyzes, and processes purchase requests (including contract modification requests) and supporting documentation into a variety of categories and routes them accordingly. Inputs critical line item data and descriptive data into computer databases and workload tracking dashboards. Identifies deficient, missing, or otherwise incomplete workload submissions and follows-up with requesting medical centers to advise, train, and obtain required documentation. Responsible for maintaining current, summary-level data on contracting office workload (in-process workload, awarded contracts, expiring contracts, etc.) and for the provision of this information to medical center and VISN leadership on behalf of the network contracting office. Produces administrative performance and productivity reports using available information technology platforms (i.e. SharePoint, MicroStrategy, electronic contract management system, federal procurement data system, etc.). There is no educational substitution for the Procurement Technician GS-7 level.
