MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state’s National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Maximum Military Grade – SGT (E-5) Enlisted – CMF 36; MOS 92A, 92Y, 92Z or predominate MOS Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). General Experience: Must possess a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the budgetary process. Must possess skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; clearly enunciate English without impediment of speech that would interfere or prohibit effective communication; write English in reports and presentation formats; communicate clearly and effectively; present formal training presentations and briefings; and skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. GS-07 Specialized Experience: Must possess at least 6 months of specialized experience in basic finance budget training or competencies (skills, knowledge, abilities, and behaviors) that provided you with knowledge of financial principles and procedures; and possess understanding of the basic principles and concepts of government financial budget business program requirements. The specialized experience must also demonstrates the ability to verify the accuracy of codes, amounts or similar data in numeric form against related documents; interpret and apply regulations and directives, and to provide information orally and in writing. Must complete Financial Management Certification Level One within 24 months of initial assignment/appointment. Failure to complete within the prescribed timeline may be cause for termination.
