MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state’s National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Maximum Military Grade – CW2 (W-2) Warrant Officer – Branch 153 with ASI H2 WG-10 Specialized Experience: Must possess 18 months of specialized experience in inspecting, testing, evaluating, certifying, maintaining, and/or overhauling aviation life support equipment (ALSE). The specialized experience must also demonstrate your ability to provide initial and continuation training and instruction to aircrew and other personnel on the care, use, theory of operation and capabilities of ALSE; and document and maintain records of ALSE crewmember training. General Experience: Must possess experience, education or training which demonstrates knowledge of materials and equipment used in the line of work such as helmets, torso harness assemblies, parachutes, survival equipment, oxygen masks, night vision goggles, etc., ability to understand written instructions; and to use reference materials and manuals.
