This position has a selective placement factor. Applicants must meet all of the following requirements as outlined in BUMED INSTRUCTION:
1. Doctoral degree in clinical psychology (Ph.D., Psy.D.) from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school. 2. A 1 year APA-accredited clinical internship. AND 3. A current State license in clinical psychology from a U.S. State, territory, or district. Note: Your resume must support your answer and you must submit appropriate documents for verification. GS-13: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provides psychotherapy for clients presenting with trauma and sexual, physical and/or emotional abuse; 2) Conducts comprehensive psychosocial assessments to assess coping abilities and compliance of clients; 3) Develops treatment plans targeting at-risk and substantiated victims of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse; and 4) Provides in-service training on Sexual Assault Prevention programming to targeted audiences. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provides short term, solution focused psychological counseling for individuals, couples, families and groups of people in crisis; 2) Provides safety planning, risk assessment and case management related to sexual, physical and/or emotional abuse; 3) Provides initial treatment for victims of trauma by formulating and implementing a plan of care; and 4) Provides input on education, prevention and/or treatment resources for Sexual Assault Prevention programs.
