Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Basic Requirement:
In order to qualify for the GS-2210-13 IT Specialist, applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies: (1) Attention to Detail – being thorough when planning, developing, and carrying out vital tasks in managing IT projects and other IT business functions.
(2) Customer Service – providing professional support, technical assistance, consultation and training.
(3) Oral Communication – expressing highly technical information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information.
(4) Problem Solving – conducting extensive investigation and analysis to determine the nature and scope of problems and devise solutions. AND Specialized Experience:
GS-14: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that included experience such as: Implementing and executing of an IT governance framework for effective management of portfolio and program management; Performing project lifecycle analysis to manage and execute controls for timely solution delivery and; Ensuring that projects are adhering to enterprise-wide analysis, design, plans. FAC-P/PM Senior Level Certification preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred AND Meet the Selective Placement Factor (SPF):This position requires a SPF be met in order to meet minimum requirements for the position. Applicants who do not meet the SPF are ineligible for further consideration. A. Possess a COR Level III certification.(Must submit copy of certification with application) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
