SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR THE GS-13: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform successfully the duties of the position such as: Applied knowledge of related chemistry and scientific fields such as chemical engineering and physics. Conducted environmental testing methodologies for regulated materials. Interpreted federal laws and regulations, agency programs and industrial practices to permit evaluation of methods sufficient to fulfill program objectives. Used of laboratory instrumentation. Processed and operated industrial shops that repair and overhaul naval ships and the specifications pertaining to the chemical substances used.
