Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify at the grade13 level, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience isexperience as a Commissioned Risk Examiner performing and leading examinations of insured depository institutions and evaluating the safety, soundness and risk posed to the insurance fund.
To qualify at the CM-01level, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience isexperience as a Commissioned Risk Examiner directing or reviewing insured depository institutions examinations; leading teams in activities related to the examination process; and collaborating with state banking authorities, and other federal regulatory agencies on bank examinations.
