Qualification Summary
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. GS – 7: 52 weeks at the GS – 06 level. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. GS – 8: 52 weeks at the GS – 07 level. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. GS – 9: 52 weeks at the GS – 08 level. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. NOTE: To support your claim that you have the required time-in-grade, you must submit your most recent promotion, within-grade increase, or appointment SF-50. If you previously held a higher grade, you must also submit any SF-50 showing that grade. AND Specialized Experience:You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. GS 7 Level Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience that demonstrates basic computer skills; knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Excel.
GS 8 Level Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience that demonstrates basic computer skills; knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Excel; ability to apply policies, procedures or laws to ensure actions are complying within the parameters of the program/benefit requirements; reviews documents submitted by customer for completeness, correctness and validity;
performs reviews of financial statements.
GS 9 Level Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience that demonstrates basic computer skills; knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Excel; ability to apply policies, procedures or laws to ensure actions are complying within the parameters of the program/benefit requirements; reviews documents submitted by customer for completeness, correctness and validity; performs reviews of financial statements to identify any misrepresentation, fraud or illegal activity; working knowledge of various types of documentation, such as legal documents, to support the delivery of benefits. Physical Demands: the work is mostly sedentary; however, some walking, bending and carrying of folders and/or PGFs are required. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
