Qualification Summary
For the GS- 8 level: Applicants must have one full-time year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-7 grade level) that demonstrates administrative support to coordinate priorities, commitments and program goals of an office. This includes providing technical assistance for travel, time and attendance, project tracking, program analysis and skill in using various software packages to prepare reports; experience includes coordinating the work of others and independently setting procedures and guidelines for others to follow. MANDATORY SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: Applicant must be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute (wpm) AND have significant knowledge of office automation systems. Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement 08/07/2020 including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined. Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
