Qualification Summary
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing, assessing, and applying environmental regulations, policies, permit conditions, and guidance to existing and future installation activities; 2) Managing a command’s environmental compliance program to ensure administrative and technical conformance to Federal, local, and Agency policies and procedures; 3) Performing multi-media audits/inspections to confirm compliance, track findings and recommend corrective actions; 4) Reviewing plans, projects, and proposed actions for environmental impacts prior to execution, identifying mitigation measures as needed; and 5) Conducting special environmental studies related to areas such as pollution prevention, storage tank management, spill response and cleanup, and environmental quality improvements. The NATO Status of Force Agreement (SOFA) between Greece and the United States prohibits the hiring of any person who holds Greek citizenship/nationality as part of the civilian component with the US Forces in Greece. Souda Bay is a location that is a without the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) support normally associated with an overseas assignment.
