In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing, assessing, and applying environmental regulations, policies, permit conditions, and guidance to existing and future installation activities; 2) Managing a command’s environmental compliance program to ensure administrative and technical conformance to Federal, local, and Agency policies and procedures; 3) Performing multi-media audits/inspections to confirm compliance, track findings and recommend corrective actions; 4) Reviewing plans, projects, and proposed actions for environmental impacts prior to execution, identifying mitigation measures as needed; and 5) Conducting special environmental studies related to areas such as pollution prevention, storage tank management, spill response and cleanup, and environmental quality improvements. Souda Bay is a location that is a without the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) support normally associated with an overseas assignment.
