Qualification Summary
GS-08: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 Federal grade level performing such duties as controlling supervisor’s calendar; scheduling meetings, appointments and conferences; screening personal visitors and telephone calls; screening incoming mail and correspondence; utilizing several types of software to generate working documents and forms; and composing correspondence.
GS-09: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 Federal grade level performing such duties as preparing administrative and procedural instructions; coordinating the work of the office; coordinating the purchase of equipment and supplies; managing correspondence; composing correspondence and reports; reviewing all outgoing correspondence; utilizing several types of software to generate working documents and forms; and providing office automation advice, guidance, and assistance to staff. PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT: Applicant must be able to type 40 words per minute, with three or fewer errors. Competencies: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competencies in the following areas: Customer ServiceDatabase AdministrationWriting’ CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Overtime may be required Individual selected and dependents are required to pass physical examination given by Department of State.
