Qualification Summary
Minimum Qualifications: GS-09:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 level of difficulty and responsibility in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph. Specialized experience is experience at or equivalent to which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience performing legal analyses and evaluating the relevance of supporting documents on case status. OR; Masters or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited college and/or university, OR completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. OR; Combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described above and that together meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position. NOTE: If substituting education for experience, as described above, a copy of transcript(s) must be submitted with your application. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
