Qualification Summary
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-04) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience reviewing, indexing, and scanning documents into appropriate systems in accordance with regulations; verifying all documents for completeness and accuracy; utilizing office automation to include document scanners, facsimile machines, and personal computers Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-3, applicants must have held a GS-03 position or higher in the preceding 52 weeks on a permanent competitive appointment.
