SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS-A qualified candidate’s online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federalservice. Specialized experience is paid or unpaid experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position being filled.
To qualify for the GS-12: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-11. Specialized experience includes experiencein reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and reporting on complex programs, projects, and issues; developing findings and recommending changes in programs, operations, and/or resources utilization to resolve problems; drafting reports to address specific noncompliance with laws, regulations, DOE directives, and/or any other areas of concern. To qualify for the GS-13: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-12. Specialized experience includes experience in conducting reviews of management issues and administrative allegations and making recommendations for corrective action; reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and reporting on complex programs, projects, and issues; developing findings and recommending changes in programs, operations, and/or resources utilization to resolve problems; drafting reports to address specific noncompliance with laws, regulations, DOE directives, and/or any other areas of concern; proactively identifying management and operational problems/issues/inconsistencies; providing timely, accurate, and concise communication, including verbal briefings, written executive level summaries, reports, and correspondences. The successful applicant for this position will possess the following KSAs /competencies: (Applicants need not prepare written responses to these KSAs, unless asked in the online application). 1. Knowledge to evaluate programs, policies, and operations. 2.Knowledge of evaluation techniques and analytical skills and familiarity with computer systems. 3.Skill in preparing reports. 4. Skill in effective oral and written communication with senior officials. 5. Skill in research, analyze, and evaluate programs and data. 6. Ability to use computer programs.
