In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the Basic Requirements for the 0610 series that includes an education and licensure requirement listed below. (Provide supporting documentation with your application) Education: Successfully completed a graduate or higher level degree, bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program. OR Successfully completed a degree from a Foreign Nursing School. Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools. Licensure: Passed the National Council Licensure Examination AND possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. (Provide a copy with your application) In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-0610-13:
Your resume must demonstrate at least (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This specialized experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Examples of experience include: Maintain standards of Patient Care. Provides consultation and guidance to health care teams on policies and procedures related to performance improvement, quality management, and compliance/accreditation. Advises and collaborates with Management, Medical and Administrative staff, and Supervisors to initiate corrective actions. Evaluates collected data and identifies trends, work and provides suggestions to improve performance. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
