To qualify for the position of at (–), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade. Basic Requirements: You must have IT related experience that demonstrates possession of each of the following competencies:
1. Attention to Detail – Works independently to produce software development work products including Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) artifacts that are complete and accurate.
2. Customer Service – Establishes and maintains ongoing healthy working relationships with information technology management, peers, internal or external stakeholders and/or customers regarding the creation or maintenance of software system; remains courteous when discussing highly sensitive or controversial information; effectively handles situations involving a high degree of tension or discomfort.
3. Oral Communication – Communicates, explains or defends complex software architectures, designs or implementation strategies clearly and adapts to the audiences level of knowledge.
4. Problem Solving – Uses logic to identify alternatives to solve complex or sensitive software development problems; as well as leverages logic and knowledge of software development systems to anticipate and resolve potential problems before they occurs.. Selective Placement Factor: Applicants must have working experience with DevOps practices to manage and streamline software development along with the ability to write scripts and automation using Python/Yami/Java/Bash. Specialized Experience: You must have one year of experience (equivalent to at least the GS-13 level or pay and in the Federal service) that included the following: 1) Performing IT duties related to Systems Analysis, including design, development, and testing of systems software; 2) Using principles, methods, and tools for IT Project Management; and 3) Analyzing equipment needs of information systems, including telecommunication needs.
