For GS-12: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Nuclear Engineer/Health Physicist preparing, preventing, and responding to major radiological emergencies including emergencies associated with the nuclear reactor plant, reactor plant equipment, and radioactive material. For GS-11: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Nuclear Engineer/Health Physicist preparing and responding to major radiological emergencies including emergencies associated with the nuclear reactor plant, reactor plant equipment, and radioactive material
