To qualify for the FP-1101-01 (GS-15 equivalency), you must have 1 year of specialized experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to that of a GS-14 in the Federal Service.
Your resume will be evaluated based on evidence of your ability to clearly demonstrate the required professional law experience,specialized experience and knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of U.S. and host country’s prevailing business, trade, and investment practice patterns and restrictions, foreign exchange regulations, and of host country’s economy;
Knowledge of general market access barriers and concerns shared by U.S. companies.
Knowledge of U.S. Government programs and services available to assist U.S. companies in international markets.
Skill in analyzing and interpreting complex trade issues.
Ability to coordinate among U.S. business community contacts and U.S. government agencies and develop a network of local contacts. Specialized experience is defined as experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience implementing the methods and practices associated with trade, export, and international project financing;
Experience utilizing the basic practices in international trade and business, marketing, and finance in order to identify and evaluate trade and investment opportunities;
Experience planning and implementing trade promotion events such as trade fairs and/or trade missions andassisting U.S. firms in obtaining agency representation, licensing, joint venture and franchise arrangements;
Experience advocating for U.S. firms with host country governments, trade associations, and other commercial institutions; AND
