Qualification Summary
Only experience and education obtained by 05/17/2020 will be considered. You may qualify at the GS-06 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements: One (1) year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Examples of experience include: review an organization’s funds or financial data to ensure accuracy; prepare and ensure accuracy of time and attendance reports through an electronic time and attendance system; procure supplies, equipment or services in accordance with regulations governing the type of purchase; prepare oral briefings and written reports for management on financial or administrative matters; provide organizational support services for an organization such as preparing forms, documents or correspondence, or responding to procedural questions from the public. Your resume must contain sufficient detail to prove you have one year experience performing these duties. You may qualify at the GS-07 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements: One (1) year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to at least the GS-6 grade level in Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Examples of experience: knowledge of administrative functions; knowledge in the use of various word processing and spreadsheet software; coordinating procurement and contracting regulations, policy and procedures; knowledge of annual work planning and analyzing funding requirements; preparing/reviewing travel vouchers; preparing and submitting payment packets; serving as a timekeeper using an automated system; coordinating staff training; maintaining file system; knowledge of personnel functions and procedures and preparation and monitoring of personnel actions; meeting and communicating effectively with others. Your resume must contain sufficient detail to prove you have one year experience performing these duties. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
