In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Experience required at GS-13: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which includes: providing regulatory program guidance, coordination, and interpretation on wetlands, mitigation, water quality issues, and on Clean Water Act 404(b)(1) guidelines, National Environmental Policy Act and various permit applications; developing national policies on Regulatory Program issues and determining if regulatory guidance has been adequately and consistently interpreted and applied; analyzing methods and techniques to develop strategic plans and evaluating results of program execution; and communicating with organization’s staff, key personnel, and other stakeholders on the Regulatory Program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Experience required at GS-14: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which includes: providing technical consultation and evaluation expertise on the Regulatory Program; identifying, evaluating, recommending and implementing alternatives solutions to reach a decision on permit applications, and developing approaches to increase efficiency and avoid delays in decision making; analyzing technical issues, regulations, principles, environmental guidelines and acts (such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act), physical, biological and chemical integrity of nation’s aquatic resources; and representing the organization in meetings, hearings, conferences, briefings and groups to persuade, present ideas, or negotiate and articulate the mission of the Regulatory Program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
