Qualification Summary
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. If qualifying based on education, a copy of your unofficial transcripts must be provided with your application. Education/Experience Requirements: MA-17 THROUGH MA-18 GRADE LEVELS: Applicants must have 3 years general experience in administrative or technical work, such as (1) work which required a general understanding of administrative functions or management practices and processes, or (2) an ability to work or deal effectively with individuals or groups of persons, or (3) skill in analyzing problems, identifying relevant factors, gathering pertinent information, and recognizing solutions. ADDITIONALLY, applicants may qualify for one or more of the following grade levels according to the following time and specialized experience requirements (MA-17: 2.5 years, MA-18: 3.5 years). This specialized experience was gained performing ALL the following duties in information technology functions: 1) Coding with C#.Net, VB.Net, or JAVA; 2) Using and coding Microsoft SQL Server 2008+; 3) Using and coding Microsoft Visual Studio 2008+, Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2005/Azure DevOps Server, or Microsoft Internet Information Services; AND 4) Managing projects using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or traditional. NOTE: This work required an in-depth knowledge of data processing and computer programming language. (Your resume must reflect this experience)
MA-17 THROUGH MA-18 EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: Applicants may qualify for one or more of these grade levels using directly related graduate education to substitute for specialized experience. For the MA-17 through the MA-18 grade levels, applicants must have successfully completed directly related graduate education in an accredited college or university to substitute for specialized experience at the rate of 15 semester hours (or 18 quarter hours) of graduate education for 6 months of specialized experience (i.e. 75 semester hours of graduate level education to meet the MA-17 grade level and 90 semester hours of graduate level education to meet the MA-18 grade level). Note: directly related graduate education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work, as stated in the specialized experience requirements above. Part-time or unpaid experience: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. Volunteer or unpaid experience: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
