This position require military membership in the Puerto Rico Army National Guard (PRARNG). If you are not a military member of the PRARNG (i.e. member of the PR Air NG, civilian, active duty Soldier, prior service, member from another state, reservist, IRR, State Guard, etc.), you must contact the ARNG Recruiting and Retention Superintendent (RRS) Office at (787) 289-1400 Ext 2015 or 2008 to request the PRARNG Military Basic Requirements (MBR) Certification. If the MBR certification is not submitted, your application will not be screened. AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
Area 1 = All permanent Enlisted employees (NG T32/NG T5) within Puerto Rico Army National Guard.
Area 2 = All indefinite Enlisted employees (NG T32/NG T5) within Puerto Rico Army National Guard.
Area 5 = Enlisted members of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard.
Area 6 = Applicants who meet all requirements to become member of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard. (If the MBR certification is not submitted, your application will not be screened.) As a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) (D1263000), GS-0303-7, you will provide a variety of administrative support, technical assistance, and participation in the management of an Army National Guard (ARNG) Maintenance and/or Logistics office by applying a good working knowledge of maintenance and/or logistics mission and programs. Knowledge of Office Automation (OA) systems to use several types of software for various office needs is required. Physical demands:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess more than TWELVE (12) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such as working knowledge of ARNG maintenance and/or logistics mission and programs of the organization; advising regarding the practical and technical aspects of office administration; updating the office’s supply sources; purchases supplies, equipment, and services; collecting data for the office-operating budget, reviews submissions for proper format and compliance; ensuring subordinate activities maintain official files in accordance with regulatory and published guidance; preparing and monitoring appointment/delegation letters; serving as the focal point for all personnel actions in the organization; and experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.
