Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal SupervisionAbility to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc.Dexterity and SafetyTechnical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order) RESPONSIBILITY: Work is performed under general supervision consisting of instructions on work procedures and processes. Independently accomplishes work processes in connection with tools, stock. Work may be spot-checked for compliance with general instructions and established methods and procedures. Unusual problems are presented to supervisor, when they occur. Issues may need coordination with shop personnel, equipment specialists, or vendors to reach solutions. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work is performed on hard surfaces and in work areas requiring standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries tools, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 10 pounds. May occasionally handle items weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance, and over 40 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment. Handtrucks, dollies, and other workers are available for assistance with heavier items. May be required to operate a government vehicle, pallet jack, or forklift to transport tooling to satellite work areas or support departments.
