Qualification Summary
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: 1. Ability to do the work of a Motor Vehicle Operator, WG-5703-08, without more than normal supervision (screen-out)
2. Selective Placement Factor: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (screen-out)
3. Operation of Motor Vehicles
4. Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order)
5. Ability to operate safely (non-motor vehicle) If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. To minimally qualify, your application materials must document the following: I have the ability to perform the work of a Motor Vehicle Operator (WG-8) as demonstrated by experience operating at least 2 types of heavy equipment (small pneumatic rollers, sweeper/vacuum trucks, garbage trucks, pumper trucks, skid steer loaders) AND trucks 32,000 GVW or more to plow snow, excavate, backfill, grade, or level earth. I have performed road work on paved and unpaved roads with snowy, icy, muddy, etc. road conditions. I have performed general maintenance on engineering equipment. AND have a valid Montana Class A, Type 1 (or equivalent from another state) Commercial Driver’s License. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
