Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in grade: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade (e.g. one year at the GS-12 grade level for consideration for the GS-13 grade level.) Specialized Experience: To qualify for this position, you must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service that include performing the following duties: -Experience with developing and coordinating plans for conducting risk assessment across government agencies.
-Experience with developing and coordinating plans for testing and monitoring internal controls of administrative and programmatic programs on location or off-site.
-Experience with developing audit findings comparing accomplishments with established criteria and reporting corrective action plans or recommendations to management relating to internal control, policy and procedure. Quality Ranking Factor:
-Experience with developing experience in independently performing internal audits or portions of internal audits of farm bill programs. Education may not be substituted for experience at this grade. Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the 04/08/2020 of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
