Qualification Summary
The qualification requirements listed below must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. You qualify for this position at the GS-09 level (starting salary $59,534) if you possessthe following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-07) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Assisting in applying theories, concepts, principles and practices of budget formulation and execution sufficient to assist in conducting difficult assignments involving interfaces and inter-relationships between and among programs, systems, functions and policies.
Assisting in applying the laws, regulations, and precedents applicable to the financial management policies of an organization.
Utilizing automated financial management systems in order to query data and produce reports. OR
Master’s or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
Combination of education and experience
You qualify for this position at the GS-11 level (starting salary $72,030) if you possessthe following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-09) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Applying theories, concepts, principles and practices of budget formulation and execution sufficient to assist in conducting difficult assignments involving interfaces and inter-relationships between and among programs, systems, functions and policies.
Applying the laws, regulations, and precedents applicable to the financial management policies of an organization.
Utilizing automated financial management systems in order to query data and produce reports.
Importing and exporting financial datausing various data formats within SQL and/or Microsoft Excel.
Reading and converting imported/exported data formats. OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related
OR
Combination of education and experience Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and provides valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.NOTE: Qualifications are based on breadth/level of experience.
